Have you noticed that the holidays are over and it’s time to get back on track? Many folks like to make resolutions to pave the way for success in the new year. But we know all about the roads that are paved with good intentions, right? So, instead of a resolution, how about adopting a word or a phrase to focus on over the next year? You can read about blogger Beth Ann Chiles’ words here and Kathy Merlino’s word guides are here.
Charli, my book character, is fond of encouraging herself and others with positive phrases and affirmations. Her favorite is “Press On!” by Cavlin “Nothing can take the place of persistence” Coolidge. She also finds it helpful to note that “You can’t manage what you can’t measure” (management guru Peter Drucker) and “How you do any thing is how you do everything.” (popular internet saying)
As you also may have noticed, there are many positive affirmations on the web. Charli and I got together and collected some gems from the internet, and added our own. Charli and I do believe in each of these sayings.
I am a writer, blogger, book reviewer, and bon vivant and encourager. I have lived my entire life in Tropical Ohio. My goal is to make friends with everyone in the world. I wrote a fiction series, The Golden Age of Charli, that presents the problems and praises, and the love and laughter of family life and retirement. My passions are blogging, reading and reviewing, and writing. My life is a WIP.
