I’ve been dreaming about cruising, so I was in the mood for a fictional frolic filled with fabulous nights at sea, frothy and fruity drinks, fun excursions, and of course romantic sunsets. Thank you Author Holly Bedord-Tierney and the other seven authors who have created the delightful Ocean Dreams series. Each book cover in the series is adorable and the titles reflect pop songs. I WILL FOLLOW HIM introduces Francie, who I hope gets her own books series. Please?
A bachelor party on a cruise ship. What could go wrong?
When private detective Francie is hired to spy on a groom-to-be as he and his bachelor party set sail for the Caribbean, she thinks she’s landed herself a week of paid vacation. Between lounging in the sun and sipping margaritas, she just needs to–best case scenario–report back that he’s on the up and up, or–the unfortunate, more likely scenario–snap a few photos of her target in compromising positions, buy a box of sympathy chocolates for her client, and then collect her pay along with a nice golden suntan.
Blame it on the island breezes or the alcohol, but within hours of setting sail, Francie’s leisurely vacation gets complicated when she starts making careless mistakes. Like accidentally becoming friends with the groom and falling for his best man.
Can she get herself and her mission back on track, or has she blown her cover and possibly even her career?

Written by one of my favorite authors, Holly Tierney-Bedord
Part of a super series- Oceanic Dreams. This is book 5 in the series.
The series is about cruising and romance.
The main character Francie can hold her own and I hope she gets her own book series.
Great lounge chair, beach or patio read!
I have read many other books by Holy Tierney-Bedord. From my past reviews of these books I have used phrases like, “spotlights delightful characters, and overflows with wit, whimsy and creativity”, and “quirky, comical, even peculiar and eccentric. I highlighted so many hilarious moments.”
And my fountain of compliments continues with this new novella. Ms. Tierney-Bedord shows her wonderful imagination and way with words that makes the plot come alive in a delightful way. I Will Follow Him is as good as all her other books and novellas.
The whole Oceanic Dreams series sounds wonderful to me. Each book is a stand-alone novella, each written by a popular rom com author. This book is about intrepid private detective Francie Meddling. A bride-to-be hires Francie to tail her fiancé on a cruise, as the bride doesn’t trust her intended. Francie has done plenty of these types of investigations before, but always in her small town in Indiana. Francie has never cruised, and really has never been anywhere. Francie describes herself as “an unpopular child, an unpopular teen, and an even less popular twenty-something.”
Francie starts investigating the groom-to-be by hiding in the ship’s bar behind a book, “SAY IT LIKE YOU SEE IT.” Whether it’s the influence of the book, or the magic of cruising, but as Francie stumbles from one mishap to another, she accumulates gal pals, a cute guy, new stylish and non-stained clothes, and she manages to clean her glasses!
The book features a raft (or shipload?) of memorable characters, including old boyfriend Bink who says, “…I remembered you like pina coladas and taking walks in the rain.” I also loved all the gal pals, the cute guy, and even the octogenarian Myrtle!
Treat yourself and have fun with this frolic of a book! Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources for a digital review copy. This is my honest review.
