I was playing with my bitmoji and shrieked with joy when I saw this one- Stay Golden. How perfect is this for the author of The Golden Age of Charli series? Charli presses on to stay positive in retirement; what a great motto for her to live by!
Blog ideas buzzed round my brain, but before I started to write, I decided to research Stay Golden to make sure that this phrase indeed had a positive connotation. Nowadays- you never know!
According to the Urban Dictionary…
Credit is given to the novel The Outsiders, by S.E.Hinton. One of the characters shares a Robert Frost poem with his buddies.
We also have The Golden Rule, which many people try to live by, “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.” And some of you may remember The Golden Ratio. This math equation is believed to be aesthetically pleasing and is found in architecture and in nature.
When life is pleasant, it is easy to be kind, happy and positive. In time of trouble or transition in life, it is hard to believe that “gold can stay.” Outside pressures can be tough as you head to college, marriage, a new job, and then…retirement. But that is the best time to strive to be the best version of you.
